John Tyler is the founder of Your Legacy University, where he works with coaches, consultants, and business owners — including those just starting out — who want to build something real online without burning money on tools and monthly subscriptions they don't fully understand or truly own.
Many of the people John works with are capable, motivated, and care deeply about their clients. Yet they often feel overwhelmed by platforms, pressured into endless subscriptions, and frustrated that their businesses feel fragile despite all the effort they put in.
John noticed this pattern early on.
Before Business
Before entering business, his background was far from traditional. He left home young, lived across different countries, and spent years working in construction. For a long period of time, he operated tower cranes — long days spent alone, responsible for heavy machinery where mistakes had real consequences.
That environment taught him something early: systems matter. Structure matters. You cannot build anything that lasts without them.
When John later transitioned into coaching and online business, he saw the same issue repeated over and over. Coaches and business owners were working hard, but building their businesses on systems they didn't control. Platforms, communities, content, and payments were all rented. Stop paying, and parts of the business disappeared.
